How the Watchdog works
An independent trust score for Collector Crypt, derived from primary on-chain data — never the platform's own self-reported claims. The governing rule is truth or nothing: a signal we can't verify lowers confidence; it never pads the number.
The trust score
The score is a confidence-weighted average of three on-chain signals, on a 0–100 scale, with a separate confidence band:
- • Unknown ≠ good. An unverifiable signal is removed from the average and lowers the confidence band — it can never inflate the score.
- • Freshness-gated. A signal whose newest data is past its SLO is treated as unknown, even if the score was just recomputed.
- • Criticality-gated. If the admin-key signal goes dark, the band is capped at INSUFFICIENT — we won't show a confident score without it.
- • Asymmetric. An on-chain-proven negative (a drain or authority hand-off) hard-floors the score — good disclosure can't average it away.
- • Reproducible. Every historical score recomputes bit-for-bit from its stored inputs and the versioned weight vector (currently v2.1.0).
Bands: Insufficient · Low · Medium · High — set by how much of the formula is backed by fresh, verifiable data.

Honest limitations
We deliberately track only what the chain can prove. The things people often ask about are not verifiable on-chain, so we don't score them rather than guess:
- • Buyback acceptance and the oracle price are off-chain CC-API controls — there is no on-chain record of whether an offer was honored.
- • Physical 1:1 backing of vaulted cards can't be proven from the chain.
- • Disclosures (named auditor, insurer, proof-of-reserves) are documents, not on-chain facts — a checklist, not a measurement.
The redemption burn round-trip is still pending verification; until it's confirmed, that signal reads unknown and simply doesn't contribute — a data state, not a verdict.
